New scoring devices don’t come along every year, but 2025
is the year of the Bridgemate III. A completely new design
such as only a company dedicated to bridge can produce.
So what’s different? The most noticeable aspect of the
Bridgemate III handset is that it’s based on a 7” vibrant,
colour touch-screen. Such screens are notoriously power-
hungry, meaning constant recharging. But the Bridgemate III
features a unique, purpose-designed power-pack, good for
between 12 and 20 sessions between charges. And when
recharging is necessary there’s an equally unique storage
case which can be simply plugged in to the mains to
recharge up to 10 units simultaneously.
So, what about the Bridgemate II user? First of all we’ll be
looking for early adopters, clubs which will be able to take
advantage of our trade-in facilities. And secondly it will be
possible to operate hybrid systems, with both Bridgemate II
and Bridgemate III being used within the same event.
A handful of clubs worldwide has been running pre-
production Bridgemate III systems since October 2024; in
the UK the South Bucks Bridge Club is one such.
